About

Welcome to The Upper Room!

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.”

– Philippians 4:4-8

🌿 Mission Statement

The Catholic Young Adults Group was born out of a heartfelt desire to provide a welcoming, faith-filled space for young adults in the Diocese of Austin. What Our mission is to help young adults, ages 18–25, grow closer to Christ and His Church by living out their faith with purpose and joy.

  • Through ownership, we take an active role in the life of the Church—serving, leading, and building a spiritual home where we belong.
  • Through friendship, we walk together in faith, supporting one another in the pursuit of holiness and sainthood.
  • Through fellowship, we deepen our understanding of the Catholic faith and strengthen our relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, study, and shared experiences.

By keeping Christ at the center of our lives, we encourage one another to grow in virtue, discipleship, and love for the Church.

🌟 Vision Statement

Our vision is to form a generation of young Catholic disciples who know, love, and serve Jesus Christ with courage and joy. We seek to build a vibrant community where young adults grow in faith, lead with conviction, and live as witnesses of the Gospel in the world.
